Rain Harvesting Tour Sierra Vista

Join Water Wise as we caravan through Sierra Vista area, visiting home owners who have graciously opened their homes to demonstrate harvesting rain from roofs into water storage containers and/or rain basins at their wonderful properties. DIY Rain Water Testing Discover What’s In Your collected rain water

Shana Sandhaus, MS of the UA Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science will show you how to run tests on your collected rain water for arsenic and the presence of fecal coliform bacteria. Participants need to register and pick up sterile containers to collect their samples in advance of the workshop. Cost $10. This event is part of the Water Ways exhibit at the Henry F Hauser Museum.
