Enjoy archery classes in the new year

Whether you are an experienced archer seeking to hone your skills or if you’ve never pulled back a bowstring before, we have the class for you!

Our next session of basic and advanced archery classes will begin on January 5 and continue for six weeks on Saturday mornings. Then another six week session of both classes begins on March 2. The $55 per person fee for either class covers all six weeks. Both classes are open to ages 10 and up. These classes are great for families to enjoy together!

Basic Archery

Basic Archery classes are conducted on Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Participants will learn the fundamentals of archery and become a better archer with NFAA Master Coach and US Archery Level 4 coach Gerald T. Busha. The class teaches correct form and technique using supplied equipment or participants can bring their own. Class members will learn the parts that make up the bow and the arrow, how to use the equipment safely, correct arrow release, aiming, and shot sequence. Family enrollment is encouraged and archery is a great family activity! For ages 10 to adult. Register online, by calling (520) 458-7922, or in person at the Oscar Yrun Community Center.

Advanced Archery

Advanced Archery classes are conducted on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to noon. This class is for students who have completed basic archery and anyone currently shooting archery. Gerald T. Busha is a certified NFAA Master Coach and US Archery Level 4 Coach. He will teach advanced archery skills and continue to improve on basic archery skills. Use the supplied equipment or bring your own.  You will learn what to expect when competing in local, state, and national competitions. Family enrollment is always encouraged.
