SVPD seeks public’s assistance in shooting investigation

The Sierra Vista Police Department has made one arrest and is seeking a second individual who may have been involved in a shooting that occurred near the 100 block of El Camino Real on May 26.

When Sierra Vista Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene on May 26, they spoke with witnesses who described two individuals involved in the incident. Detectives with the SVPD Special Operations Bureau also responded and collected evidence of the shooting.

A search warrant was executed on the morning of Wednesday, May 29, in the 400 block of south Carmichael Avenue. In the search, SVPD officers secured several items of evidence related to the investigation. Sierra Vista resident Kevin Grayson was arrested that same day and booked into the Cochise County Jail for aggravated assault and several drug-related charges. He remains in custody on a $10,000 bond.
