Police arrest local man for kidnapping, aggravated assault

The Sierra Vista Police Department arrested a local man on multiple felony charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault after responding to an apartment complex in the 1500 block of E. Busby Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded for a report of man with a knife holding his girlfriend hostage in an apartment shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13. SVPD officers were able to contact 34-year-old Sierra Vista resident Lloyd Saincois at his apartment and detain him.

The investigation revealed that Saincois had held two people against their will in the apartment and both suffered superficial knife wounds. Saincois was charged with two counts each of Domestic Violence (DV) kidnapping, DV aggravated assault, and DV assault, three counts of DV endangerment, and one count each of threatening/intimidating, DV disorderly conduct, and possession of narcotic drugs.

Saincois also had a pre-adjudication warrant out of Cochise County for kidnapping involving one of the same victims. He is being held in the Cochise County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
