Built in 2015, Canyon Vista Medical Center (CVMC), is the largest healthcare facility in Cochise County, operating a Joint-Commission-accredited 100-bed acute care hospital in Sierra Vista with outpatient surgery, imaging centers, and a new inpatient rehabilitation unit.  Located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona, CVMC serves Sierra Vista, Fort Huachuca, Cochise County, and surrounding communities, nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson.

 CVMC is a Level III Trauma Center, has earned Chest Pain Center Accreditation through the American College of Cardiology, and has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Primary Stroke Center certification as well for its Total Hip and Knee Replacement Program and Hip Fracture Program.  The hospital is also accredited by the American College of Radiology for CT, MRI, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine, and recognized as a Pink Ribbon Facility for Breast Health Excellence featuring advanced 3D mammography.  Canyon Vista is recognized by the Leapfrog Group for its commitment to patient safety and has been named one of the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.  In addition to these service lines, the facility offers an Advanced Wound Care Center, full rehabilitation services, birthing suites with a Level I nursery, a Bone & Joint Institute Center of Excellence, an adult psychiatric unit, comprehensive imaging services, and more.
