In April 2015, RegionalCare Hospital Partners opened a new, $100 million, 177,000 square-foot, 100-bed hospital in Sierra Vista. The facility, Canyon Vista Medical Center, is a Level III trauma center that offers additional beds, services and doctors. RegionalCare has committed $18 million to recruit 25 physicians during the next seven years and hired about 100 new employees when it opened. The teaching hospital serves a population of more than 131,000 people in southeastern Arizona.
Additionally, the many medical office buildings provide a host of medical services from dental and vision care to audiology to cardiology, oncology and many other specialties, as well as general practitioners to keep you and your family healthy. Many of these facilities are upgrading and expanding due to the new hospital.
Medical specialist have clustered near Canyon Vista, creating a medical services cluster at the eastern edge of Sierra Vista.
