Join the Friends of the San Pedro river for a history hike to the Old West site of Millville. This 2 hour, 2.5 miles (total) hike on gravel trails included irregular surfaces, uphill sections and crossing a wash. The Corbin and Gird mills processed silver ore mined in Tombstone. Each Sunday morning, the Sierra Vista Environmental Operations Park (EOP) is open for bird walks. Local docents from Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory, Huachuca Audubon Society, and the Friends of the San Pedro river lead these walks. Since participation is limited, these walks are a first come, first served basis. The EOP is located  between mileage markers 324 and 325 on the north side of the highway. Martin Luther King Jr. Day closure

January 21

All City facilities will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Monday trash will be collected on Tuesday, January 22 and Tuesday trash pick up will be on Wednesday, January 23. There will be no changes to trash pickups on Thursday and Friday. There will be no special pickups on Wednesday, January 23.
