Featuring Francesca Claverie with Borderland Restoration Network The Sky Islands of the Madrean Archipelago, here in southern Arizona, are considered important areas in need of conservation to support pollinator populations, specifically the Lesser long-nosed bat (Leptonycteris yerbabuenae). She will also cover the actions we engage in that encourage problem mosquito populations, like standing water or rain tanks without protected openings, and explain what residents can do to reduce their personal risk of confronting mosquito-borne diseases.
