City seeks leisure class instructors

Adam Curtis Public Affairs Press Releases

The City of Sierra Vista is seeking passionate instructors to lead new leisure classes and activities in their areas of interest and expertise.

Classes can focus on a variety of subjects, activities, and age groups. Categories include, but are not limited to, recreational activities, special interests, health, and fitness. Classes can be taught as a series or as a one-time program or activity.

“We welcome creative ideas and would love to hear proposals from a wide variety of independent contractors and businesses,” Leisure and Library Services Director Laura Wilson says.

Interested instructors must submit a proposal to the City outlining the proposed class or activity, instructor qualifications, details of the proposed activity itself, and the desired outcomes. Proposals will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Current leisure classes include Basic and Advanced Archery, Writing Your Life Story, Kids Drama, Fit and Fabulous, Kids in the Kitchen, and activities at the Pottery Studio @ Sierra Vista located in the Oscar Yrun Community Center.
