Vaccination and Sterilization

Arizona state law and city code require that all cats and dogs be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. You must show proof of vaccination to obtain a dog license. Cats are not required to be licensed, but must wear identification or be micro-chipped.

Each year, the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center seeks to support a low-cost pet sterilization program. Please contact us to see if we have any programs available, or contact the Cochise County Humane Society at (520) 803-7385 for assistance with low-cost spay and neuters.

If you have any questions regarding this service, please contact the Animal Care Center at (520) 458-4151.
