Summer Reading Program 2019

The Sierra Vista Public Library invites readers of all ages to prepare for launch and explore a Universe of Stories in this year’s Summer Reading Program, which runs from June 1 through July 27.

Our Summer Reading Blastoff event on Saturday, June 1, from 10:00 a.m. to noon will feature space-themed activities, special guests, and crafts for the whole family! People of all ages will also be able to sign up for this year’s Summer Reading Program starting June 1. To sign up and start logging your reading minutes, head to SierraVista.AZSummerReading.org.

This year’s theme, “a Universe of Stories,” inspires people to dream big, believe in themselves, and create their own stories. It coincides with the celebration of NASA’s 60 years of achievements and the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.

The Summer Reading Program is offered with the support of the Friends of the Sierra Vista Public Library and includes a variety of free activities and events. People of all ages can also tackle reading goals for a chance to earn prizes!

To learn more about the program, prizes, and upcoming events, visit the Sierra Vista Public Library. Upcoming events are posted on the City’s website calendar and will also be shared on the library’s facebook page. For more information, call (520) 458-4225.
