The Library Advisory Commission was originally created on June 21, 1960, by Ordinance 30 and re-established on November 14, 1996 by Resolution 3721. On May 28, 2020, Resolution 2020--28 dissolved the Library Advisory Commission and re-established it as a City Department-affiliated nonregulatory commission. The purpose of the Library Advisory Commission is to advise on matters relating to library services/requirement and to assist the City Librarian in promoting library services to the public.
Meetings
The Library Advisory Commission meets bimonthly on the fourth Monday of each odd numbered month at 4:30 p.m. in the Sierra Vista Public Library Conference Room. Agendas and minutes can be found online.
