Tennis & Pickleball

Tennis isn’t just great exercise, it is a life-long sport! No matter when you start playing, tennis promotes physical, as well as mental and emotional, benefits, adding years to your life. The sport engages mind and body, and offers opportunities to make and enjoy friendships, have fun, and get a great workout.

Called “a game for everyone,” pickleball combines the elements of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. It is played with solid paddles and a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, and can be played indoors or out. Paddles and balls can be checked out from Leisure Services at the Oscar Yrun Community Center (OYCC). Watch this short video to learn more about this growing sport with a funny name
