Commission on Disability Issues

The Commission on Disability Issues was created by Ordinance 866 on August 23, 1990 and re-established by Resolution 3702 on October 24, 1996. On May 28, 2020, Resolution 2020-028 was approved that dissolved the Commission on Disability Issues and re-established it as a City Department-affiliated nonregulatory Commission.

The purpose of the Commission on Disability Issues is to act as a liaison between the City and the disabled population of the City.

Meetings

CoDI meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:15 p.m. in the Sierra Vista Public Library conference room. Agendas and minutes can be found online.

Resource Guide

The Disability Resource Guide will help you identify and locate local, state, and federal organizations that provide assistance to the disabled.

VistAbility Award

If you know of any business, organization, or individual that has displayed in some manner a higher level of interest in accommodating and supporting customers and citizens of varying needs an/or limitations, please nominate them for the Sierra VistAbility award.
