Run, walk shelter dogs through Dec. 31

Do you like to run or walk and do you love furry friends? Good news, our Running with Paws program is here!

Adults ages 18 and up can just stop by the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center during regular hours and choose from a list of high-energy dogs picked by the staff for their need for extra exercise. Each mile you run or walk will be tracked by a pedometer and if you reach 20 miles by December 31, you will be awarded our Running with Paws 20-Mile Club T-shirt! Kids are welcome too but may not handle or hold the leash.

Dogs need exercise to curb negative behaviors like excessive barking or chewing and you can help ensure the high energy dogs in our care stay happy, healthy, and adoptable. So come on in, log some miles, and contribute the health of our lovely dogs at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center!

The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday. To learn more, call (520) 458-4151.
