The City of Sierra Vista’s annual street maintenance will start on Monday, May 18, on streets located in the Pueblo Del Sol (PDS) Unit 8, Tract 109, Valle Viejo, and PDS Dos Neighborhoods.
City crews have already completed patching and crack sealing work on designated streets and will start applying two layers of sand slurry to expand the lifespan of the roadways. Designated streets include Avenida Granada, Plaza Vista, Avenida Palermo, Paseo Juanita, and Paseo La Paz south of Foothills Drive and west of Paseo San Luis, and Paseo Olivera, Via Viento, Paseo Garcia, Plaza Miura, Plaza Ayala, Via Riata, Paseo Arruza, Via Cuerno, and Plaza Canero north of Snyder Boulevard between Paseo San Luis and Foothills Drive.
Residents will be asked to move their vehicles from the street at 7 a.m. during maintenance activities and to use alternative parking if they need to drive during the sand slurry application and setting. There will be no change to refuse schedules, and streets crews will pull refuse bins from the streets after pickup for residents who are not home. Please refer to the attached map and schedule for specific street maintenance dates.
Annual street maintenance activities are expected to continue through June 4. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, and be on the alert for workers and equipment. If possible, drivers are encouraged to use an alternate route.
