On Thursday, March 26, Sierra Vista police arrested a local man after a month-long investigation into allegations of sexual conduct with a minor.

In early March, the parents of a minor reported to a Nevada law enforcement agency that their child had sexual contact with a family friend while visiting Sierra Vista on two separate occasions in 2025. A family member reported suspicious behavior by the victim to the child’s parents, who then reported it to their local law enforcement agency. After the agency conducted its initial investigation and verified that the incidents occurred in Sierra Vista, it forwarded its investigation to SVPD.

SVPD Special Operations Bureau detectives collected digital evidence that confirmed a sexual relationship had occurred and located the suspect near Camino Del Norte and S. Plaza Aguilar. After police interviewed the suspect, he was arrested and charged with sexual conduct with a minor, aggravated luring, and luring a minor for sexual exploitation. The suspect was booked into the Cochise County Jail on a $45,000 bond.
