A Sierra Vista woman died this morning in a single vehicle collision.

On Saturday, Jan. 17, at about 9:11 a.m. Sierra Vista police and Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services responded to a report of a rollover collision near the intersection of Highway 90 and Giulio Cesare Avenue. Responders learned that the vehicle had been traveling northbound on Giulio Cesare Avenue when the driver appeared to have suffered a medical event, crossing the intersection and continuing into an empty field to the north. The vehicle then rolled twice before coming to a stop.

The driver was unconscious but still breathing when emergency responders arrived, and she was extracted from the vehicle. When she became unresponsive, emergency responders began CPR and transported her to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
