On Thursday, July 17, after a month-long investigation by the Sierra Vista Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau, a woman was arrested for sexual conduct with a minor.

SVPD’s Special Operations Bureau began an investigation after being contacted by the Juvenile Detention Center in Phoenix regarding an alleged romantic and sexual relationship between an adult and juvenile.

Through the course of the investigation, several letters were discovered detailing a sexual relationship between the juvenile and an adult woman that occurred in Sierra Vista.

After interviews of all parties were conducted, probable cause was established to arrest the woman and charge her with two counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
