The City of Sierra Vista welcomes citizen involvement. The following commissions were established to assist City Council in gathering information about important City functions. If you’re interested in being involved in a commission, click here to check for vacancies. Commission members are appointed by City Council to serve two-year terms with a limit of three consecutive terms. If no vacancies are available, you may still be able to participate as a non-voting associate member.
Transportation Advisory Committee
The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) was created in 1994 as a requirement of being an Arizona Department of Transportation /Federal Transit Administration 5311 grant recipient and is part of the Sierra Vista Metropolitan Planning Organization. The committee consists of a cross-section of community members who share a common interest in public transit. TAC members provide input and recommendations for public transist-related activities of the Sierra Vista metropolitan area.
