Several Leisure and Library Services facilities will be closed until noon on Saturday, April 15, and some road restrictions will be in place to accommodate the Firebolt Youth Triathlon.
The Cove, the Sierra Vista Public Library, the Ethel H. Berger Center, and the Oscar Yrun Community Center will not open until noon on Saturday. Access to the sports fields on Tacoma Street, east of Coronado Drive, will also be closed until noon.
Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway will be closed from Avenida Escuela to Coronado Drive from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. In addition, traffic control and lane restrictions will be in place on Coronado Drive from Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to Tacoma Street, although two-way traffic will be maintained. Tacoma Street and Las Brisas Way will both be closed east of Coronado Drive from 7 a.m. to noon.
Youth cyclists will be on the road between 9 a.m. to noon and motorists in the area are urged to drive with care.
In addition, the front desks at the Oscar Yrun Community Center and The Cove will close at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14, due to quarterly staff training.
