Provide input on Timothy Lane Park improvements

Adam Curtis Public Affairs Press Releases

The City will host two meetings at Timothy Lane Park to gather input from area residents to learn how to best improve this small neighborhood park located at 30 East Timothy Lane.

The City plans to conduct improvements to the park using about $85,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds. However, there have been significant changes in the neighborhood since the small parks master plan was developed in 2013, including the completion of the Casa Del Sol apartment complex. To ensure the improvements meet the current neighborhood priorities, the City will reassess its plan for Timothy Lane Park based on input from area residents.

Two public input meetings have been scheduled to provide neighborhood residents and the community at large an opportunity to provide comments. A letter has been mailed to property owners and residents near the park informing them of the meetings. The meetings will be held at Timothy Lane Park on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from noon to 1 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 21, from 10 to 11 a.m.

“We want to hear from the residents who live nearby to ensure the work we do meets their needs and maximizes the park’s use,” Director of Leisure and Library Services Laura Wilson says.

Input can also be submitted by mail or in person to the Oscar Yrun Community Center, located at 3020 E. Tacoma St., or by emailing
