Parking lot maintenance at City facilities starts next week

Adam Curtis Public Affairs Press Releases

The City will repair potholes, apply pavement sealer, and paint fresh striping at several City parking lots starting next week, with work scheduled through the end of June.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 16, City streets crews will perform pothole repairs on parking lots around City Hall, the Sierra Vista Police Department, and the Pedro Castro Maintenance Center. The areas being repaired will be blocked off with traffic cones.

Then the parking lot west of City Hall will be sealed and striped on Friday and Saturday, June 1 and 2. The payment drop box in that lot will be unavailable during these days but the one located next to the front entrance will still be in use. Parking will be available at the Sierra Vista Public Library, on the east side of City Hall.

From Tuesday, June 12, through Friday, June 15, the south Pedro Castro Maintenance Center parking lot will be closed for striping and sealing. Then the facility’s north parking lot will be closed for sealing and striping on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.

Crews will apply seal coating and striping at the Sierra Vista Municipal Airport terminal apron on Wednesday, June 27, through Friday, June 29. Aircraft parking for tenants will be available near the hangers. Please follow traffic control devices that will be in place.
