The Sierra Vista Environmental Operations Park (EOP) is open for bird walks each Sunday morning. The walks are led by docents from Southeastern Arizona Bird Observatory, Huachuca Audubon Society and the Friends of the San Pedro River. Participation is limited; first come, first served. The EOP is located at 7201 E. Hwy. 90 between mileage markers 324 and 325 on the north side of the highway. Depart from viewing platform. Admission is free.  Donations are appreciated. Grand Central Mill processed silver ore from the Grand Central Mine in Tombstone. The mill is located one mile north of Fairbank in the SPRNCA. A Friends docent will explain the history of the site and show the remains of the mill, mostly the foundations where the 200 foot long, multi-story building once stood.
