An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Saturday, repeating until April 8, 2017
Join a park ranger for a guided hike and tour of Coronado Cave. This large cave is nestled in a limestone layer at the base of the complex geological puzzle that is Montezuma Peak. Exposed in the beam of a flashlight or headlamp, cave formations such as stalactites, flowstones, and columns emerge from the darkness of the cave. The Ranger-led one mile hikes begin at the Coronado Cave trail-head and last for approximately two hours. Bring a flashlight/headlamp, batteries, gloves, water, and sun protection. Wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing. For more information or to schedule a group tour, contact park staff at (520) 366-5515 ext 0 or visit our website.
