National Recognition

As a member of the Great American Defense Communities Class of 2017, Sierra Vista was recognized at a national conference in Washington D.C. in June. Our community was also featured in the America’s Defense Communities Magazine, which highlighted Cochise College’s extraordinary service to service members and their families.

Praiseworthy destination

Sierra Vista was selected as a top retirement destination by Where to Retire, the go-to magazine to help people with retirement decisions. Sierra Vista was profiled in a feature article entitled “8 Praiseworthy Low-Cost Cities,” putting it in good company with other communities in the U.S., such as Pueblo, Colorado and Tampa, Florida.
