Vistas Fall Issue

Public Comments

City Council will be considering a refuse fee changes, including residential Dumpsters, green waste, and special pickups. Proposed changes will better offset costs for these programs. Also under consideration are development code changes, to include sign regulations, district regulations with regard to dumping rubbish, and home-based businesses. Submit your comments online.

Adoptions Suspended

Sleeping dog

Adoptions at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center have been temporarily suspended until further notice to prevent the spread of confirmed cases of parvo. This highly infectious disease mainly affects puppies and young dogs. Animal Care staff is working around the clock to help the pups recover.

Recycling Drop-off Center

The City’s recycling drop-off center is now open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 7201 E. Hwy 90. Accepted materials are: corrugated cardboard, glass bottles and jars, steel and aluminum cans, and plastics #1 and #2. Learn more on our recycling page.
