Cool off with a splash of summer fun

Adam Curtis Public Affairs Press Releases

Summer break has arrived and the City of Sierra Vista has a variety of extraordinary water recreation on tap for local families to enjoy.

Starting Friday, June 1, the City is opening up the splash pad at Len Roberts Park, located at 101 E. Theater Drive, for the public free of the charge from 10 a.m. to dusk all summer long. Just push the handprint button to activate it. Previously the facility could be reserved and used for $5 an hour.

Families can also head to The Cove to take advantage of the new summer schedule that started this week. Open Swim, for ages 6 and up, is now available Tuesday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5:30 p.m. Splash time, for children under 5 with adult supervision, is now available on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Summer hours at The Cove will continue through July 28.

And that’s not all. The Cove will host its Summer Bash on Friday, June 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. The bash features a live DJ and The Cove’s recently expanded inflatable obstacle course, which now includes a balance beam and flip play piece to see how high you can fly. Pizza and soda are included in the $10 per person admission fee.

Advance Summer Bash tickets are now available at The Cove. Email or call (520) 417-4800 to learn more.
