The Sierra Vista Police Department has arrested one man in connection to the recent kidnapping and robbery of a local man and is seeking assistance to identify and locate other suspects.
Police have identified one additional suspect as 42-year-old Sierra Vista man Gary Hogan, who has a warrant for his arrest and is being sought for four counts of kidnapping, 10 counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous instrument/deadly weapon, and two counts of aggravated robbery. Hogan is described as a balding white man with hazel eyes, who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds.
Members of the public should not approach Hogan if they see him. Instead they should call 911 or the SVPD non-emergency dispatch line at (520) 458-3311 as soon as possible if they know Hogan’s location.
Hogan is being sought in connection to an April 25 report by a local man who said he had been held and beaten by multiple men with weapons at a residence on the east side of Sierra Vista. The suspects robbed the man of personal belongings, some of which have been recovered by police. SVPD detectives have served several search warrants and conducted many interviews in the course of this ongoing investigation.
SVPD arrested Joshua Eason, a 24-year-old Sierra Vista man, in Fry Townsite on Wednesday, April 26, for his involvement in this incident. He was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and two counts of aggravated robbery. Eason is being held in the Cochise County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Anyone with additional information about other suspects involved in this incident, or anything that may aid the ongoing investigation, is urged to contact SVPD Detective Sgt. Sean Brownson at (520) 452-7500.
